The gauge is old I was told.
I loosen fitting to gauge while tractor is running:.....
no oil coming out.
This 8n was around the block as they say and was restored from a basket case.
Could be blocked line I suppose.
Awaiting service manual to come in the mail.where is the oil pump? Bad filter?
what does that T block next to the exhuast feed?

I primed mine, after reading about it on here, using a garden hose. The article mentioned cutting new hose, but I was lucky enough to cut my "only" hose. Something I will suffer through in a couple months. Drained oil, put oil hose on spout just inside oil drain hole, used funnel, filled funnel with it lifted high. Think the oil started running back down my hand or on the floor, figured the pump was full. Took hose off, refilled oil sump, started it, pressure was fine. The others know the easier way of course. I didn't understand where they were putting it because I did not have my manual yet. Archives or "watch" someone will help ya.

If you have no oil presure there are 2 likely causes. 1. The pickup tube is cracked. It runs from the oil pump to the bottom of the pan. It is known to crack. 2. The oil pump was not primed. I don't know how to do this but search the archives and I am shure you will find it. I believe you remove the oil presure spring. Fill the hole with oil. And reassemble.

The oil pump is integrated into #1 main bearing cap. The tee fitting feeds the oil filter and oil psi gauge.Take both lines off the block fitting. The main bearings and rod bearing get oil before it comes out of the block and shows on the gauge or gets to the filter. Check to see if you get oil out of there. If not don't run it any more until you find the problem.
