I got the tire off using my Milwaukee sawzall. Does anybody know an easy way to get the foam out of the center of the rim ? It is weird stuff to say the least. It reminds me of the old brown eraser we use to have in school, with oil added. It's a good rim and I don't want to damage it. Thank You in advance. Allen Hansen

Jack up the tractor, set the brake on one side, turn the tractor on, put it in gear and use a sawhorse and a 2x4 like you would use a lathe. Probably not safe. HTDH (hope this doesn't hurt)!

When I worked at a warehouse while in college, we used a foam packing called insta pack or something like that. It looked very similar to the quick set stuff I've seen in tires. That instapack had a cleaning agent with it.. we kept a jar of it in the shop.. at the end of the day.. dip your hand in.. rub it around, and the foam disolved.. perhaps there is a similar chemical agent that will attack this foam.... gasolene, m/s? denatured alcohol? laq-thinner.. just don't know.

Heat comes to mind.. like a propane torch, and a scraper tool... I think -not- breathing the fumes would be a good idea.

Is there any way next time, to fill the tire with foam.. and use a tube?

When they filled my front tire they charged me for a new tube because the old tube was in too bad shape. Then they poked holes thru the tire and tube to release air when filled. The filler in mine is a soft rubber. HTH
