Does anyone have any experience with the TSC combination transmission/hydraulic fluid or Wal-Mart (Super Tech) combination transmission/hydraulic fluid? I currently run the New Holland M2C134D with good results. The only problem is it costs $45 at my local NH dealer. The TSC and Wal-Mart brands are about $25. I don't want to sacrifice quality but if there is a cheaper alternative I would like to use it.

Thanks,
Ryan

They have some fluid at Sams club here in central florida that meets New Holland M2C134D spec. $18.00 for 5 gallon.

I have used both types of fluid from TSC.. The 90wt gl-1 for the 39-52 fords, for the 8n/2n, and I have used the transdraulic fluid ( 134d equivalent ) for my NAA and NH 1920.. works fine.

Keep inmind the 134d or equivalent oils are much thinner than the original spec oem 90wt oil.

Also, watch out at TSC.. they also sell a plain general hydraulic oil.. dont get it.. it is for floor-jacks, etc.. not final drives...

I just bought 5 gallons of 134 from the New Holland Dealer in Columbia MO. and it was $32.00 plus tax. $45 sure sounds high. I do not understand that much difference in price.

I have experience with the TSC fluid. DO NOT GET THE UNIVERSAL HYDRAULIC FLUID. They carry a Ford spec fluid that will say for 1939-1953 Ford tractors and is listed as a GL-1 hydraulic fluid on the container. Sometimes the store close to me is sold out, but they usually re-stock it. It is about $32 for 5 gallons at my store and works just fine. It is 90w so it is thicker than the New Holland 134D, which fits well with my one rear oil seal early model 8N. I usually try to find pure 90w mineral oil though when I can get it.

Good luck,
Dan
