well i gota say that while i dont think i would try a project of that size with a scoop, they sure can move alot of dirt, last summer some friends a half mile away were going to set up a pool, they needed a flat spot in the yard about 35ft by 40 ft, it looked fairly flat to them but once we set up some lines they realized it was about a 5 ft difference in elevation from one end to the other, about what i had figured but they had thought more like a foot or so i think, i went home and got my fathers NAA with the 3pt scoop and slid our graded blade into the scoop so i would have both implements there, when i showed up they laughed and said we would be there till winter with that scoop, well in just under 4 hours i had that spot flat enough to put the pool up, now granted i was lucky and only had one big rock to deal with, but still thats alot of dirt to move.

Kinda reminds of a neighbor when I was growing up, who dug out a basement with a shovel and wheelbarrow under their house, he would run the full wheelbarrow to a low spot in the yard about 150 ft from the house and then return to dig again. Did that every day after work for what seemed like years!

Great Page!!! I wish it had a link to an email so I could complement him on a job well done. Looks like he would be a great person for the forum, (if he is not already).

The pond pictures were nice, But How much did it cost In time( man hours) and Gas for the tractor? It probably been cheaper to have someone with a dozer come in and do it in a week or less.

I know it's all about he fun of using the N.
