Need some advice to stop a leak or, to use some sort of material to seal the threads on the lift cylinders for my Ford FEL.

The main lift cylinder requires a constant tightening of the cylinder end to stop a leak. Is there some sort of sealant I can use on the threads to stop the leak?

The leak comse from around the threads.

It requires a 2 1/8" wrench to tighten that cylinder end where the piston/rod enters into it.

Thanks. 9N'er

9N'er you could probably use teflon tape to seal the threads, but what you really need to do is add to or change the packing which is doing the leaking. You get the packing fixed and the threads will stop leaking all by themselves. Good luck.
