I put my 5' KK on about 6 or 7 years ago and replaced the belt at 100 hours use, before it broke. Keep an eye on gear box fill point and grease those 3 blade bearings after each use. I also grease the wheels and rollers every other use. Keep it cleaned of grass cuttings after each use too. Air compressor best tool to use for that. I put an ORC on as soon as I got it. Lube ORC too now and then and lube the drive shaft's universal joints after each use. Keep the PTO RPM no faster than 540. Proofmeter is very helpful there.

I have a 5' King Kutter finishing mower as well. To answer your question yes. Also keep you K.K. greased and properly maintained. I have been using mine for 3 years now and I have had more trouble than I care to mention. Now if you talk to other folks they will tell you that there's has been the best. I grease mine before every use and always have. I figure mine was built by someone that kept looking at the time clock. I will say one thing. The people at K.K. have been real helpful to me in all the problems I have had. Also keep a couple extra belts and pulley springs on hand, you will need them. But yes use a ORC and be safe. I enjoy my K.K. just been some headaches tho.
