I have a high /std Sherman. Can gears be changed to convert it to a high / low or std / low? If so, are they available?

Not possible to "upgrade" the O/D only to the Hi/Lo. They use a completely different case to allow for the different number of shift rails among other things. Combos ARE available. Look around, pick carefully, and ask for advice from KNOWLEDGABLE sources before you plunk down your $$. You CAN get easily burned.(been there). Good luck.
jim ps... the U/D only uses the SAME case as the combo but only uses only ONE shift rail. IF you find one, it is worth it's weight in gold to many.

You may already know for sure. Just a thought, because it happened to me, but may I suggest you go to "www.8nford.com" to be sure your Sherman transmission is what you think it is. I thought I had a Sherman Low and found out the correct shift pattern. Darn if it wasn't a High/Low. Had it for 4 mo. before I knew. Learned a lot after my first "N".
