51 8n Tore down front wheels and spindles yesterday. Tired of seeing things up there move that should'nt. While cleaning parts, I noticed a top spindle bushing that still you can see the Ford logo. The others were not as worn as this but didn't have the logo on them.Everything is back together and doing fine, thanks to you guys and many hours of reading this forum. Next...the rear brakes, hubs, and seals. Thanks Again.

You would be amazed at all the things that had the ford logo stamped in them:

The front spindle bushings (you can still get the exact same bushing complete with the ford logo and everything from certain NC suppliers!)
the brake cross shaft bushings
the starter housing
generator housing
tie rods
tie rod ends (I think)
spark plugs
original battery cable lugs

just all kinds of things...kinda like finding christmas presents!

Been there - got the shirt. I did my rear axle first though.

Good luck,

Yeah, my wife makes me wear the same shirt and jeans every time I work on the N. Reaching into the front hub to get all the old axle grease was a good stain!
