Just dragged home a really rough Naa, Jubilee or 600 series. Can't tell what it is just looking at because I don't have the experience with this tractor. And it is rough. It has a small hole behind the starter with the end of a rod poking thru. Anyone know of a wire for the mig welder that can be used to fill the hole. The man pitched in an extra engine but I would like to wear this engine out before replacing it.

We repired wc blocks by makeing 1/4 inch thick metal patches. drill and bolt them on using gaskets. for a small hole, use one bolt and big washers with gaskets and sealer.

With a rod pokin' through the block, it sounds like its plum wore out allready!

If your talking in the cast iron, I'd patch with JB weld unless it is too big. Welding cast is tricky. If small enuff, short weld cycles might work. Let the weld cool good between welds.

Rusty,
Easy way to tell difference between NAA and 600 series is NAA has large axle nut on rear axle, 600 has smooth hub. Only difference between Jubilee and NAA is the hood emblem.
Sorry , I can't help you with the block problem.
