Does anyone know if the funk 6cyl & V-8 Rads are
the same size but with different top tanks?
Or is there a bigger differance?
I would like to use a 6cyl spare rad (redo upper
tank with two inlets) on a fh V8 conv. I hope to do in the future. thank you for your help

Mike..... ...iff'n I understand you correctly, yer doin' a flathead V-8 conversion to yer 8N. I'm certain you realize your flathead has 2 water pumps and 2-upper radiator tank bungs and 2-lower radiator tank bungs and a center top'o'tank fill'em-up cap.

Somehow I don't think your idea of using a 6-cylinder radiator with 1-upper bung and 1-lower bung is gonnna meet the V-8 bung requirements. And in addition, the 6-cyl radiator is TALLER.

Hot-rodders work this flathead V-8 radiator problem all the time. And there a numerious custom radiator suppliers listed for fh V-8s. Do yer homework..... ..respectfully, Dell

The radiator in my Funk was "custom made" to fit the space under the 8N hood.

It cost me $575.00 to have it re-built after it was fried in a fire (brass turned to "egg shell" - just crumbled).

Good luck in finding a core that is already the right height and width, that has inlet to top tank in the center and outlet bottom right. I sure could not find one in Missouri!

Took old core to shop and owner called in retired craftsman to do the rebuild. Not many left that do that kind of work. I think he enjoyed the challenge - especially when the pups backed off and said it could not be done!

My N is slowly going back together and will be back on line shortly.

Charles
