Hey Adam;

Yup, that would definately be a vineyard model...Cool! While the smooth rear hubs aren't *rare*, they are somewhat uncommon due to air pockets inside them causing many to break or be warrantied out for the later riveted ones. Plus, you have the optional and somewhat less common rear wheel weights designed for the stranger 9N/2N rear "hat" rim. The combination of smooth axles, vineyard model, and rear weights definately make it a unique combination. If I were you, I would strongly consider holding onto it and restoring it. However, the alternator would have to go (grin). It's up to you but thankss for sharing the pics!

Jeb

Hey Adam; glad the link helped. Judging tractor worth is always a touchy and highly debated subject. Ultimately, the tractor is only "worth" what someone is willing to pay for it and it will obviously only be worth *more* to a collector like Marv or John Smith or someone looking for that special tractor. the lack of position control puts most 9N/2N's in the $1500-2500 price range. For a rare tractor like yours, maybe add up to $1000, but the buyer is the ultimate price setter. May want to contact marvin or john smith or even Palmer Fossum and see if any of them may be interested?

I forgot to ask; do you have any pictures up anywhere that we could look at of your vineyard 9N? I sure would like to see it and have some other pictures to add to my N-series photo collection.

Wild Guess; Judging from the Pix I would say 2300 to 2850. The good thing is you never have to sell it unless you want to.
