Where'd you get yours?

I made a set.. and they work.. but they 'look' like I made them. I'm getting fairly decent at welding.. but cutting with a torch.. lets just say i'm not an artist yet...

Thanks guys, I do get confused quite easy though. I was hoping that someone might have a picture they could post of the chains on an 8N. This would be a BIG help. Thanks....Randy

My chains are different in that they are attached to the lower links by straps of flat steel. That way I don't have to put them on the implement pins each time I hook up. Check them out at:

Are you refering to the chains that hookup at the implement pins and then hook into a bracket at the toplink to set a maximum deptch on the 3pt?

If so.. it is as easy as I just explained.. you will have 2 chains.. the chains will have a flat at one end with an eye for the lower link pins.. the slide on with the implement, and are held on by the lynch pins.

Up at the toplink there will be two seperate flat pieces with a hole for the toplink pin to travel thru. there is also a notch cutout inthe flats for the chain to ride in. Install the toplink pin thru the flats.. one on each side.. and of course.. thru the implements toplink.. pin with alynch pin as usual. Ras the 3pt to just a bit higher than you want it to hang. then slip the limit chains into the snugest position you can get them in the notches at the toplink.. when you le tthe lift down, it will drop about a i chainlink as the chain takes up the tension... that is now the lowest the 3p will go.. you can still raise it, like to clear an obstacle.. then just drop it without looking back as it will return to you 'pre-set limit.

That's the 26$ 'manual' position control scheme for the 9n/2n and the quick fix for leaky hyds on the 8n/naa!
