Just got a gallon of Tisco Vermillion paint to paint my 8N. Just like others have said on this board it is a bit to orange. Have any of you tried to tint it to make it a little darker red? What have you used? Thanks in advance. Rjohn

Get you a quart of Rustoleum Sunrise Red gloss and add it to half of your gallon of Tisco vermillion and you should have a nice red. You can do the reverse by getting two quarts of Sunrise Red and add 4 ounces of yellow to it and have a beautiful vermillion with the barest touch of orange. Your call. good N-ing.

Years ago we used "JAPAN COLORS" for tinting paints that had some oil/enamel base.

I am sure that other artistic board members will probably have the more modern methods.

Might try taking the paint into LOWES or HomeDepot and ask the real"professionals".

Hope this helps.
