Brakes uneven

I noticed today (didn't seem to be this way before?) that my right brake pedal ('47 8N) is about 2 inches lower than the left. the brakes both seem to work ok but are not level/even. As I drive along on hard surface the right brake pedal "bounces" as if it is not "returning" properly. My question is, is there an adjustment to correct this situation? or should I not worry about it as long as both brakes work ok. I'm not especially mechanical and would appreciate any long distance trouble shooting or advice.
Many thanks to everyone who helps everyone.

You also might check and make sure the "parking brake" teeth are not set on the right side. Trace the right brake rod to the axle. There will be a cam-like "thing" with teeth that are used to set the brake (kind of like a parking brake). If this is engaged, it could cause your problem.

My $.02 worth.

Probably broke a return spring. It'll run that way but probably should investigate. Little things like that have a habbit of getting away from us if we let them go. ray
