Hi All,

My friend is building a Ford truck with a C6 transmission. He installed the transmission in the truck without filling the torque converter with fluid. Here is the question, does he have to take the tranny out and fill the converter or can he just fill the transmission with fluid and run it to prime the converter? I think the answer is that if there is no fluid in the converter, the input shaft on the transmission wont turn and the fluid wont pump. What do you experts say? Do we drop the transmission this weekend?

Joe

Pour four Qts in it and far it up, be ready to add six more Qts and recheck fluid till full, it will self prime.
