Just acquired a tired 1945 Ford 2N w/ a side mount sickle bar mower. The mower's only tags I can find are on the right hand motor mount and it says "Detroit Harvestor". There are a lot of patent numbers on the tag, but no model number. The bar appears to be 5 ft.

I looked through the archives and found a little data on this, but not enough to know what model I have.

As far as I can tell, all the parts are present except for some kind of a metal washer and nut that holds the mower to the right side motor mount.

Two questions...

1) where would I find the model number?
2) where could I find a manual w/ a parts list.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I also posted this on Implement Alley.

THANKS!
Patrick

Detroit Harvester made the mowers for Ferguson and also later for Ford, also some for Case. I do have parts lists for PEO-20 1940-41 Series and Peo-21 1942 series and this book is dated Jan. 2, 1942, Also some information on Heavy Duty Mower (Side mount)In Owners product Information Manual with calenders on back page of 45,46,47 that would be years of 2N but the pictures are of a 9N and the numbers listed are the P-EO -21

Thank You, Leroy!
How can I arrange to get these copies?
I would happily send you a money order if you let me know you would charge.

Thanks!
Patrick

I bought a rear mower at auction last week, has similiar tag and a Ferguson tag. My guess is its a Ferguson, likely same age as the tractor. BURT.
