NAA Steering problem

Hi All

Here is the problem I am having. The tractor has been hard to turn to the left the last couple of times I have used it. Today while I was thinking I should write this, something in the steering broke and now it will not turn to the left at all. The steering wheel free spins to the left but the wheels do not move.

I can use my foot to push on the steering arm to make it go left pretty easy and use the steering wheel to make it go right. When I spin the wheel to the left I see it going back down into the steering shaft, spin it the other way and it looks like it is coming out of the shaft.

Does anyone know what I should look for to fix this?? All help is appreciated
Cheers Rob

The bearing on the vertical shaft has gone out, the shaft that the steering wheel is attached to. That is why the shaft comes in and out now. Disassembly is required. Parts are available.
