We just recently sold our 14 acres of hobby farm and,the buyer wanted this and all of that. He offered and I counter offered, as I was planting corn, my wife walked across our field with her hand cupped over the phone, (yup), you can probably guess, the buyer wanted my 1939 9N (my 1st tractor). Somehow I knew it was coming, as she slowly and hesitantly made the long journey across the landscape. Now,I can say with all honesty, I know how much a 1939 Ford 9N is worth.

Well, as the saying Goes, all things can be replaced, so knowing that, I decided to replace the buyer and kept on planting the corn, an hour later the buyer called back and bought the farm for,but not the "N".

Yep....been there. Not with a tractor but motorcycles, guns etc. We get really attached to old machinery. I remember as a kid when we moved off the farm to go live in town we had to put down the family dog. Just to aggressive to strangers to move to town with. I think we would have been better off to leave her on the farm which was her home and let the new people get used to her. Maybe the 9N is better off in the fields then on the city streets. Your call..tough one.

I hear ya..... I wuz lucky, got my 2n with the farm, and the guy's cats and dog..... same reason. Dog had grown up here, too hard to change the dog, easier to let us get used to the dog. Now if only I could figger out how to keep him from digging the molehills half way to China! I'm scared one of the horses or cows will break a leg in his danged holes! He's got some of them dug so deep he can bury himself in them. He's a full grown Black Lab. The moles were never half as much problem as his digging for them! Cats ran off within a month to get laid as cats will and never came back. We have our own now.

My dad had a 40 9n, he loved that old tractor. I fooled around on it as a teenager would. Im in a wheelchair and have been for years, accident when I was 17. But my dad had a heart attack and died on that tractor. I keep it running wih help from friends and family but I cant drive it, its not the best looking tractor but it still runs, this is its home. As soon as I get a little paint on it I`ll post a picture.
