Just bought a 9n today. The serial no. on the casting just to the right of the oil filter is 9n209639.Can anyone shed some light on this as I just would like to know what year this was actually made. The registry drew a blank on this one. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Anyone out there... I just got my first 9N. Trying to determine what year it is. the only #s I can find are on the right hand side (if your sitting on the tractor) on the transmission below the stearing colum. Are these the S/Ns? Can anyone help me? Jerry

How do you know it's not just had an engine-block changed out? Could still be a 9N with a 2N engine, right? My 9N (I think) serial number is hard to read because the original number has been overstruck with an AER number. I gave up trying.
