Robert..... ..donnna know where you've been shopping. Real autoparts stores have partspersons that are supposed to know how to look up stuff with cross-refferences. The AutoLite AL-437 crosses to Champion H-12; or NGK BP4LS; or NipponDenso W14LU; or Bosche W125T; or MotorCraft 437; or AC Delco C45L. The important thing to remember is the sparkplug reach is 7/16", not 1/2" or 3/4". They're 14mm thread and 13/16" hex; torqued to 20 ft/lbs. Gap = 0.025. Too wide a gap and the engine won't start eazily or reach high rpms for power. Too narrow a gap and your sparkie won't be hott enuff to ignite yer compressed gasoline mixture. Heat range is a function of the center ceramic insulation nose length, longer is hotter, shorter is cooler. Too cool and you "foul" yer plugs with deposits of lead and oil. Too hot and you pre-ignite and you melt your alumninum pistons. ALWAYS check yer sparkie gap (0.025) right outta the box and also check that the sparkie reach it NOT TOO LONG that it squeezes the gap closed when you install it..... ....Dell, the self-appointed sparkie-meister
