Dell youve stated before not to use GL-4 or GL-5 in tractors because it will damage certain type of metals? I use it in my tranny and diffy in my Jubilee. please expand. thanks Reno J.

The hyd/pump in a 9/2/8N resides in the rear diffy/tranny hyd common oil sump. The hyd pump has yellow metal cam blocks. Gl-5 oils harm yellow metal.

Your NAA has a completely seperate hyd system that is engine driven.. and has its own hyd sump. the rear end has its own sump... etc.

Good answer, 8N's single hydraulic sump system is different than NAA's 3-sump system. Hassta do with the "Handshake Littigation and Pattent Infringement Suit" between Ferguson Tractor and Ford Tractor..... .Dell
