Try some aluminum covered foam insulation board doublesided taped to the bottom of the tank.. Cut to fit... home depot carries this stuff.(rmax? )

Gas blends vary with the season... Is there any chance the gas in the tank is a more volatile "winter blend"?

I ran into that to. It could be as simple as needing a new radiator cap, but I am not usually that lucky. Check to make sure your radiator fins are not clogged. Water works better than air for cleaning out the radiator but if you have a front mount distributor you better cover the distributor with a plastic bag or your tractor will remain at ambient temps until the distributor drys out enough to start sparking again(trust me on this one). If your N still has a thermostat it could be stuck closed. Water pump working? If all else fails you may need to have your radiator boiled. Or try using some radiator flush. One thing is for sure you are getting hot and the N has plenty of cooling capacity--when everything is working as it should--so you should not be getting hot.
