My 52 8N has been leaking fluid on the right side for quite a while so I decided to finally (It has been apart about 4 years) fix it as I am completely rebuilding it. Bought the NCA--563-C Lower Link Support Shaft several years ago. I believe in taking my time :-). Anyway I finally got the courage to take off the left wheel, brake assembly, axle, trumpet, and differential to get at the loose and leaking pin. I read posts from several years ago and it came off with only major dificulties. One of the bolts that hold the drum on was loose and I had to cut the nut off with a Dremel tool which I had but was 365 miles away. So off to Walmart to get one.

Anyway I need to get alot more items than the Lower Link pin. But the new NH Link pin is different than the one I had in the tractor. The end that goes inside the rear end is not 5/8" but now 3/4" castillated nut and washer. So I have to get them later along with tires, tubes, brake drums, misc. bolts, nuts, washers, etc. So the list goes on. I am going to try Sureseals and replace all the other seals on both sides. If anyone knows all the seals that go into a 52 8N please let me know. It is confusing reading my old Ford parts manual.

Alex..... ..you mean yew ain't gottchur tractor fixxed yet? (grin)

CAUTION: the 5/8-18 x 4.87" tapered lower link lift pin p/n 8N-563 is DIFFERENT from the 3/4" NCA-563-C pin. They may NOT be interchangeable.

also SURE-SEALS are for 2N axle trumpet NOT FOR 8N.

I'm shure ye'll gitter dunn somedays..... ....Dell

Hi Alex,

Don't remember seing a post from you in quite a while. You must be busy like I am. :-)

I would like to know if the Sureseals work on your 8N since I was lead to belive that they are only for the 9N/2Ns. Good luck on the rest of your rebuild.

Regards,
Larry
