So I bent up my trailer hitch that was a ball on a drawbar and a few pieces of steel bolted to it to go up and catch the top link. I made up a new one and it came out pretty good. My welds are sloppy, I don't weld enough, and it's not 100% square, but I think it will work pretty good. Having the ball out on the hitch end like that lets the tractor make sharp turns without bending up your hitch or trailer, don't ask.

Nice job! Bent up my trailer tongue a few years back using a ball on truck step bumper. Know the feeling. I now have a real hitch on the truck!!

Richard, you could make and sell those things! Nice job and good design on an implement that will be handy to use.

You can buy them in Northern for $100. I just couldn't get myself to spend $100 on it. It cost me probably $45 in materials and I had some scrap angle. I can see why it would be $100 to make and sell them. I did it also cause it was kinda fun. I've been trying to get better at welding. I used an old 225 amp buzz box.
