I finally got a chance to do some projects with my 9N. I bought a Rankin forklift that turned out to be pretty handy for moving junk from one part of my place to another so was able to "tidy up" some. I also noticed a plowshare poking out from a pile of old rotted fenceposts at the base of a cottonwood tree. A little digging showed the whole plow to be there, but stuck tight, since the tree had grown around it. I hooked up a chain and after a coupla jerks it came out. Turns out to be a Dearborn 10-1 but looks like the rear share is broken. Anybody know where a guy could get a replacement? (not that I have anything I want to plow, it just would be nice to have it complete). I also tried to move a '47 Minneapolis-Moline UTS that I hope to restore, but the tires are flat so it didn't want to move. The 9N just dug a couple of furrows where the wheels spun.
I also bladed my road so the wife wouldn't think I was just goofing off. Who'd think you could have so much fun on a $1500, 60 year-old tractor!
