I mounted this loader on a 9N last year and sold the tractor and loader to someone who answered an add in the paper. I have lost track of the tractor and loader. I am needing to find out the model number for this loader. Is there a website that is deducated to Dearborn Machinery where I could find the information?

Hi Roland:

If you think its a Dearborn loader, a name plate should be on it, unless it got torn off. I have the 'Ford Master Parts Book' for the loaders and from the details and parts , your loader appears to be the Model 19-23 Dearborn loader with possibly some slight modifications. Trust I have been of some help. Matt

Looks like a kissing-cousin of my Dearborn 19-8A.

Was installed new on my '49 8N.

Wish mine had a new coat of paint like that one, though!

Looks like my Wagner. I suspect Wagner and Dearborn are one and the same when it comes to loaders.

The N-Newsletter has various service manuals and such for Wagner and Dearborn loaders.

You sure that is a Dearborn and not a Mohawk?
It looks suspiciously like the one that I took off my 8N. On the right arm down near the bucket I have a very faded yellow label that says 'Mohawk'. As far as I can discover, this company was somewhere in Texas.

I can get more pics if ya want, as it is still sitting in my field...

I really appreciate your help. I have heard of the Mohawk brand, but have not seen the label on a loader. If it isn't too much trouble, more pictures of the loader and the Mohawk label, itself, would be very helpful.

One thing I notice in your picture is the position of the steering wheel in relation to the bar that goes across the top of the loader. On some loaders, the bar is very close to the steering wheel....some (as with the case of your 8N) the bar is far away. Yet both loaders look the same.

I can see another project coming into my near future...and that is to learn more about the different models of Dearborn and Wagner loaders!

Near as I can figure the guy that I got it from used her for snow removal.
When I got it there was a home made extender on the bucket.
The guys son told me that his father would pick up a whole bucket full of snow and just sit there and spinthe wheels because all the weight was in the front...I figure he turned the wheels around and put the chains on instead of putting a weight on the 3 point hitch.
The tires are loaded too, but I bet with that extended bucket full it made little difference...
