I have read all your post on the extra pulley for the alternator. By the way good looking job. You have listed all the parts hardware but one, (BELT SIZE). Do you have a part number for the belt size? Thanks LL

Couldn't guess. It had a brand new belt from napa on it when I got it ( presumably cause the old one was eat up from rubbin' the distribuitor ).

However addin ghte pulley didn't creat a belt size problem for me. The alt was adjusted all the way out.. and was loose.. With the pulley in there.. I actually move dthe al back in about an inch on the top bracket, and adjusted for 1/2" max deflection measured on the top of the belt.. etc.

My guess is whatever belt you got on now will work, if you got it adjusted all the way out..

If not.. NAPA and carquest will sell belts by the cm or 1/2 increments inch I believe. Last time I measured for a belt I use a piece of 1/2 cotton rope and layed it around the pullies and pulled them tight.. was a perfect guesstimate when I got home with the belt. ( I keep that belt-measuring rope hanging in the garage! )

Thanks for the fast reply. I have been wanting to do something like this for a while and your deal looks good to me. I still have the standard pulley on my alternator but going to change to the wider belt size so every thing matches. I will get back with you with a part number for your deal on the wider belt. I post very little but read every day and pick up tricks and tips that are very useful and time saving not counting the $$$$$$$$$ . Thanks LL
