Well, I’ve pretty much spent my vacation tinkering with the Jubilee project tractor I got a couple of weeks ago. It needs so much work that I can go from one item to another to break the monotony of spending too much time on any one item. I should have plenty of tinkering to do for a while.

Here are the positives:
·The radiator seems to be in good condition
·Has later piston type hydraulic pump
·The steering assembly seems to be fairly tight (needs steering wheel)
·The sheet metal is straight but has a lot of surface rust
·The tires and wheels are in pretty good condition (rear tires not matched but in excellent shape)
·Gas tank is fairly good (has some built-up varnish inside)
·No major cracks or flaws in castings
·Starter seems OK
·Engine is loose but has low compression (needs rings/bearings?) but seems to be in fairly good (rebuildable) condition

Here are the negatives (so far):
·Transmission has busted mainshaft 3rd gear and countershaft ·Clutch is shot (pressure plate seems OK)
·Needs front axel bushings
·Needs front kingpin bushing
·Needs draglink (tie-rod) ends
·Needs complete rewiring (has GM alternator/12 volt conversion)
·Needs all new gauges and proofmeter/tackometer and cable (old tack has 1900 hours)
·Needs carburetor rebuild (at least)
I will keep you all updated as time goes on (probably months).

Cool.

Half of your negatives are single day fixes.. tie rods are piece of cake.. alternator wireing, gauges and tach are also hand waving jobs..

Everything else as you mentiones is money and sweat equity..
