IM REBUILDING A FUNK WITH A 226 FLATHEAD 6CYL. MY PROBLEM IS THE DIST SEEMS TO BE IN A TOOTH OFF BY THE WAY ALL THE PICTURES I SEE LOOK. HOW DO I FIND TDC WITH THIS TYPE OF ENGINE , ANY HELP WOULD BE HELPFUL

The same way you find TDC in any engine. Pop the plugs out and check for the compression stroke on #1 cylinder. When the piston reaches the top of the compression stroke, that's TDC. Eastwood makes a little whistler device to screw into the plug hole that lets you know when TDC comes up.
