Greenhorn,

The terminal block is just a ceramic block with 3 posts on it that mounts on the back side of the dash. If your 8N engine has a front mount distributor, you will need a ballast resistor to keep from frying the coil. The ballast resistor mounts between 2 posts on the terminal block. These terminal blocks are readily available. Get one and mount it on the back side of the dash.

Good luck,
Danny

The terminal block is just a place to bring the wires together; assuming you don't have or need a resister.
The block can be replaced by two wire nuts. You need to bring 3 wires; one side of the ammeter, one side of the ignition switch, and the batt post of the voltage regulator into one wire nut, and 2 wires; the other side of the ignition switch and the coil wire, into the other wire nut.
Doing that, and all things being good, should get you a spark.

You get around to it you probably need to get a terminal block just so you're one the same page with the book and people you talk to on the board and such.
