OK lets settle this once and for all!
I have air in my back tires provided by a 12 volt compressor, while the air in my front tires was provided by a 6 volt compressor.
Which one will stay inflated the longest?

Tried the N thing. Never could get the hang of it. Had to sell it. New lawn tractor won't start and they don't have a forum. Should I hit it with a six or 12 pound hammer and which will work the best on hard plastic?

Tex - they do have a lawn tractor forum if you click on the forum link in the upper left hand corner of the browser.

If you really want to destroy your tractor I have found that an open gas tank and a match works very well on hard plastic. Oh yeah - dont stand too close if you take this advice.

How about this: Use the engine operated tire pump...now which is better? The engine with a 6V system or the 12V? Gasoline on the fire

You guys just don't get it do ya? Yer still pumpin 12V air into them tires. Now around here we are lucky to have a few OLD, DEEP coal mines, and we run wayyy back in the bottom and get a load of 1948 6V air and it worked just fine, until a neighbor mentioned that we were pumping it into 1987 12V tires. No use looking for a resistor for that match, cause the rims are run by a couple of wild cat, magnetos and when ya put it all together, the whole tractor tends to roll downhill. I'm seriously thinking of swapping the whole mess off on a brand spanking new, Black & Decker 18V cordless 3 Wheel drive, with a side car and fender skirts. Ron
