Dell - Thanks - New Distributor Oil Question

Dell: After you answered my question about the need to lubricate a new side-mount distributor, I went out and examined my new distributor more closely. I discovered that it actually does contain a lubrication port - a new type. The new one contains a flush opening that houses a small steal ball that, evidently, is under the pressure of a small spring - like a grease fitting. I gave it a couple of squirts from my oil can. Thanks again for your help.

Talking about side-mount distributor--Does front mount ever need lubrication and if so how do you do it? Thanks

Rick..... ...glad you found your oiler for your sidemount distributor. The flip-cap is standard. The squeeze-ball is a later development. Both work, ya just haffta ocassionally, giv'em a shot of engine oil to keep the "wick-wet"..... ..Dell
