Another position control. The stud on the rectanglular piece appears to screw into one of the lift arm holes. My guess is the thing on the rt end of the rod is an adjustable stop so you can lower the lift to the same place over and over. It looks like the block attached to the rectangle serves as the "friction disk". After seeing this picture, I think the "home made" version is sturdier and looks better. I have recently seen a 1950's aftermarket version that looks a lot like the "home made". It is clear to me now that all of you that think this is the best are not judging the various solutions for technical merit.

Jeff,

No Need to sign, you obviously found out who wrote that. But seriously, I am getting sick of this Rick clown continuously harping on this thing.

Rick, give it up, you did not come up with the solution, Zane did and you seem to have some sort of problem with that. I for one am glad to see Zane be able to make a little money from his ingenuity and it does nothing positive to try to undermine his developments.

If you spent half the effort trying to come up with something yourself that you did harping on this, you would be a rich man.

GIVE IT UP ALREADY!!!!

Rick by now I think we all know what you think about position control devices for 2/9N's. In reality you are beginning to sound like a broken record, we all are entitled to form and have our own opinions as to what we prefer based on our own research without help. By the way, why are you pirating photos off E-Bay and posting them here?

Well..it was only a matter of time before this thing got posted! Actually, it was longer than I thought it would go on being not posted! Sez a bunch about the honesty of this board! Was wondering if I'd have to invest in one to see what it is, hehehe! (I have a 52, which has position control) Nice finally seeing the thang! With the proliferation of digital cams, it says a great deal about the honesty of most folks here on this nice board!

Ever notice that he NEVER posts except to try to convince people to do anything but do business with Zane? Sounds to me like he resents not coming up with the idea hisself.

Some like to tinker.. some don't. Some want no frills.. some want bell's and whistles... that's the american dream.... 'free choice'.

I think using a 1 wire alternator conversion is hokey, and needless, considering the price of the other two wires.. and the fact that a 3 wire alternator.. outside of the bracket kit.. is probably cheaper. But I don't criticise others who use them.

I do alot of custom electric's on my N's.. just for personal use and enjoyment. A few things I've shown others.. but the bulk of the mods I just have on paper, or am long term 'beta' testing on my own tractor.. possibly forever..

Variety is the spice of life. If there were only one way to do any particular thing.. this world would be very boring...

Just my .02$
