My orc stopped working today. I pulled it off the tractor the roll pin was damaged. If the pto shaft turns clockwise should the orc turn counter clockwise? I can't seem to get it to turn freely. Should it?

the orc should turn freely in the same direction that the pto shaft turns. If it turned freely in the opposite direction it would not drive your implement.

Every thing is turning the same direction. If the pto stops or slows then every thing else keeps turning in the same direction with the ORC slipping. HTH.

It seems to me it should turn freely in the direction opposite to the normal direction of rotation of the PTO. It has to transmit torque in the direction of PTO rotation so it should be "rigid" in that direction.
