Has anyone mounted a water tank on the front bumper or protective grill to add ballast to the front end? I worked on a slight incline the last few weeks and a light front end seemed to be very dangerous.

Check eBay. There's lots of different types. Split, Flat in 16" and 19", and conical. About 30-75/80 lbs depending. Check your LOCAL boneyard as the shipping costs more than the iron is worth.

Just an idea, but what about this? How about getting creative with some aluminum foil and concrete? Line the inner wheel with several lavers of the aluminum foil, pressing to fit. Next take what ever you have on hand, plastic pipe, tin can, etc. to form the wheel center. Finally place spare bolts of adequate length through the mounting holes. Now, mix a batch of concrete and fill. Twist the bolts and the can/pipe as the cement dries and you have ready made wheel weights.

Robert, Yes, there were front wheel weights for N's. My 16" wheels have holes for mounting weights. Don't think I've ever seen any though. How about jacking up the front end, put the valve stem at the top, pull the valve core out, slide a piece of plastic hose over the stem and pouring windshield washer fluid into the tire using a small funnel. My 6.00-16 tires took about 3-4 gallons on a side. (About 25-30 pounds a side)
Not a whole lot of weight, but cheap and easy.
You just have to take the hose off once in a while to let the tire "burp" the air out. HTH
