OK So, I'm ordering some parts, and I have two places to chose from right here from this site... As an example, I'm looking at a new twelve volt coil...
If I use YTMAG parts link, the coil is about 33 dollars. There is also a link on or around that page that says "Can't find something? Click here for our extended catalog." So I go to the extended catalog, and the same coil is about 28 dollars...
I'm confused... If I knew for sure that the higher price is used as a "donation" to maintain YTMAG (this awesome site), I would not have the slightest problem with it!!! Also, as an extended catalog, it would seem that if I wanted a coil from YTMAG, and a gasket from the extended catalog, I would have to place two orders, and twice the shipping... Someone must have an answer to this, or if you wanted to donate, YTMAG should give you a place to order a part from the extented catalog along with a donation amount... if one wishes to donate... I know donating is not for everyone, but it would be for me. For years now, this forum has been an awesome resourse, with some truly amazing members!!! YTMAG has been my home page for as long as I can recall!!!
If anyone has some slick, working knowlage of parts ordering, please advice.
Thanks,
Adam

Not to be picky but donate isn't the word you want. YT mag isn't a tax exempt entity that would make money you sent tax deductible.

Those of us who were around for the time they deleted don b's very useful e mails and bought Dave Smith's buttons know that they use the term "voluntary subscriptions" advisedly.

Your mileage may vary

If I remember right, the parts that come from ordering from this site are the same ones that come from the "Extended" catalog. I think the price difference is simply markup, not donations...

Adam, To donate they have a "Voluntary Subscriber" link almost at the bottom of the page. This site has been great for me too so I subscribed. Can't help you with the parts ordering question. The only thing I can think of is that there may be different companies that sell through this site. That would explain the different pricing. Just good old American competition? I don't know. Eric
