I REMOVED THE FRONT MOUNT DISTRIBUTOR FROM MY 8N TODAY AND NOTICED SOMETHING WAS WEARING A PLACE IN THE HOUSING. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT MAY BE CAUSING THIS?

Roger,
Kinda hard to say. You didn't say where it's wearing. 'Bout the only things that routinely get to the distributor are the fan belt and maybe a flexing front axle. The axle usually takes out the distributor CAP #4 nipple.
