I have an 8N. Use it often to mow with. Sometimes this summer when I want to stop, the hydro lever is stuck and have a hard time getting the tractor in neutral. With a little work moving the tractor I overcome this problem. Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks for any help.

I'm trying to piece this together.. the hydro lever is stuck.. is this the hytrol lever you are refering to? ( the 3pt lift lever? ) and.. if it is stuck.. what does this have to do with stopping the tractor?

Again.. trying to figure out why the hyd lever being stuck is effecting your tranny from shifting.

I know if your clutch is sticky, it can drag after pressed.. and that makes gear presure.. and that may make it hard to shift gears.

Give us some more info.

Yep.. He might be refering to the pto lever.. and not being able to pop the pto out of gear due to gear pressure from a spinning load on the pto.. like a mower. Hopefully his shaft isn't bent..

Yes, and not just the PTO lever, the gear shift lever will be hard to shift to neutral while the PTO driven load is coasting to a stop without on ORC.

(Of course, SG, you lucky DOG... you eliminated ALL these problems with your new FORD... by the way, how's it working out for you?)

Well, I've mowed twice with the 7610s.. and I must say.. it is sweet.

I did hook up the 5' kk mower to my NAA though. it is now the 'small job' mower.. and I do have a few trees that I cut trails in.. and the 7610s is just to big to maneuver in there. The brush shield I made for the front of the cutter works great!

Course i DID att an ORC to the pto on the NAA as well... Guess I'm spoiled ont he independent pto on the 7610...

I think the problem you are having is you need to adjust your clutch or you are not using a over running coupler on your pto.and if it does not fix the problem replace clutch pressure plate throw out bearing theres a complete kit for it.i hope it works out.
