is it possible to put a loader, power steering, etc on an 8n?
I just picked up a 48 model and i wanted to know if it could be done, and if so where might I find the necessary kit and supplies to do it.
Or would it be just too much money to convert it???

Thanks

had a wagner loader on my 52 N for years
good for gravel and shale around and loading anything on a pickup will lift 6-7 hundred pounds
not a good digger, maybe if you are in a sand area
it would be Ok just make sure your front tires are pumped up good.

Outlaw..... ..Jacksonpowersteering.com (do a search) sells a P/S kit for N-Tractors.

But honest answer, iff'n ya bought yer 8N to be a primarily Front End Loader tractor, ya bought the WRONG TRACTOR.

Yes, I know, there are MANY N-Tractors outthere with loaders and the owners are making do. But there are many "issues" with loaders and N-Tractors, weak hydraulics, weak front axle mounts, to name a few. But iff'n the N-Tractor is the love of your life, the you put-up with the "issues"..... ..... respectfully, Dell

Who rents a modern tractor with powersteering and shuttle-shift when I need frontend loader work

Outlaw,
When I bought my 50 8N it came with what I believe is a Paulson Loader. I haven't tried to positively ID it. the front mounting bracket attaches to 2 of the front oil pan pan bolts? and the rear mount attaches to the rear fender bolts. I took it off last fall when I painted. It mounted fairly easy. The power steering would be nice. When I scoop dirt it works on armstrong steering. Good Luck. MikeR
