Just a question - is the touch control lever supposed to spring back up against the adjustable stop when released after lowering the lift arms or is something wrong? This is my first tractor and don't know much about them. Any help would be appreciated.

The touch control handle should stay put. It has a cork friction clutch between the aluminum plate and the steel plate that is supposed to be adjustable by tightening the nut on the end of the shaft but sometimes it is stuck and hard to tighten or loosen. Usually takes heat to move it.

Or you could get one of my ZANE THANG position or height control devices to use with the tractor and then you would not have a need to tighten the friction disc on the touch control since it is not needed with my device.

See the link below for more information.

The touch control should stay where you put it. You might need to replace the cork pad between the plates at the base of the control or just adjust the tension with that big nut/spring.
