The search engine isn't working for me at the moment.

What type of hydraulic oil do I want to buy for my 8n.

I know there were 2 weights that could be used, depending on the condition of the system.

Just want to make sure I get the right type.

Thank you.

My 1952 8N manual says M-4864-A & B; above 32-degrees S.A.E. 90, below 32-degrees S.A.E. 80.
Change every spring or 600-hours whichever comes first.

Ford recommended 90 wt. I see no reason to change to the thinner stuff! Use what they recommended when these tractors were designed! The thin stuff causes too many problems!

Use Ford-NH M2C134D fluid or 90w mineral oil. Remove the bottom bolt of the inspection plate and add about 4 3/4 gallons of fluid by removing the plug behind the gear shift. When the fluid leaks out of the lower bolt hole on the inspection plate, that's enough! Mark your dipstick accordingly; any more fluid will get past the axle seals & on to the brakes.
