Well twice in one day. Saturday my wife and kids were gonna go shopping so I asked her to stop by Sears and pickup a set of left handed bolt extractors, due (she says) to my sloppy writing she gets the wrong set apparently my 2 looked like a 5. So yesterday I called to see about an exchange. They did not have the one (with a 5) in stock. I was off today so I called another Sears 37 miles away and they said oh yeah no problem we've got 12 of them and no problem exchanging the other. So I took off this morning drove over and right there at the register they had a set waiting for me I took it said thank you and went and wandered Bass-Pro Shop for a while (What a place that is!!) I then went on over to TSC to grab a set of points and a cap for my '49 They had all kinds of point for all kinds of old iron $10.39 but a front mount Ford went for $19.39 Hell even a wiring harness hanging on the wall was only 14. I took the points to the counter and aked if it was priced correctly and was assured that it was.So I told them that they could keep them. I then drove home with a state trooper following me matching me turn for turn the last 18 miles for what I have no idea and trust me the road I live on goes no place he needed to be. I just opened up the extractors and one of them is broken obviously a return that got put back into stock. I call them up "Oh no problem sir just bring them back and we will replace them" Oh yes big problem I'm not gonna drive 70 mile cause they screwed up. Finally she agreed to mail me a replacement. But my project for the day was shot in the butt. Thanks for listening to my rant.

Yea..... .....One of my pet peeves is to stop at the local Mc ChokeNpuke, then get home (7 miles) and someone has to go with-out supper. Usually me. If I were a quicker study, I would check the bag before leave the store..... .E. Ray

Don't get me started on the quality of TSC. There stuff is way too expensive, and not always good quality. I have heard that they have pretty good radiators, but they are are 200+ dollars. I bought a piece of junk chainsaw from them once. The thing never started right outta the box. I took it back, and the guy offered me my money back. I told him if I wanted my money back, I wouldn't have spent it on the saw!! I really wanted an exchange, or some sort of offer to fix the one I bought. All I got was rudeness, and attitude. OK, so I did get started on TSC a little. The whole thing just frosts my nooggies when I think about it. Keep your chin up, tomorrow is a brighter day. If you really wanna hear me get mad, ask me how much I like Lowes! :)

I feel your pain. I went to town (10 miles) to get spark plugs and wires for my Dakota. O'reilly guy says what kind of plugs you want? Whatcha got? Brand x for 3.29, brands y and z for 1.29 and brand NKG for 1.69. I'm feeling a little extravegant so I says give me them NKGs. I get home, pull all the wires, pull 3 plugs and get ready to install the new plugs. Huh? what's this, the 5/8" plug socket is too small! The 13/16 is way too big. Calls up the parts guy. Oh, they're 5/8". Huh-uh, says I. He grabs one off the shelf and says Sh*t! they must be 18MM. Do you sell an 18MM socket? I says. Nope. says he. Well here I come, says I. Back to town and trade the off size ones for some brand X. Checked to make sure they fit the 5/8" socket before I left the store. Not so much as a pardon me from the clerk. The story ended well, though with the new plugs and wires in the right order she runs sweet. I hate multiple trips to town to finish one job. Steve
