Looking at the last thread, and wondering about this a lot lately, can you (after the tank is cleaned internally with bolts, nails or chain) can I pour some Ospho in the tank and slosh it around, then drain??? It will leave a phosphate coating, and Ospho also claims to be a primer.... What are you thoughts???
Thanks in advance,
Adam

I presume what your talking about is a mild solution of Phosphoric Acid which will change the remaining rust (Iron Oxide) in to Iron Phosphate which is a pretty hard coating. It might work and probably wouldn't hurt to try. Just make sure you clean the tank out first real well to get all the loose rust and then rinse real well after using Phosphoric Acid.
