9n lift fix or not

Im trying to decide if I need to fix my lift or not It lifts my 5 foot box blade fine but I have to hold the control down while blading or it comes up about two inches a little inconveinent and the lift goes down in about 2 minutes with tractor off should I wait or fix it now would the ZANE THANG help the "coming up" problem

The ZANE THANG will cure the problem you are having holding the blade at set height. You also won't have to worry with fixing the friction disc on the quadrant as it is not needed with the ZANE THANG attached.

WOW the GURU ZANE has answered my post I would love to have the ZANE THANG and I will buy one from you soon thanks for the info my question should have read if I can live with the leakdown and the inconveinence of holding the lever down should I make a repair do you think it could be the relief valve I do have swirling around the pump and some drips off of the cylinder but it doesnt look excessive what do you think

You shouldn't need to hold it down. You need some adjusting. There's a tension adjuster on the touch control lever and there should be a cork gasket between the round plates to accomodate that tensioning. I put 1/16" of rubberized fiber material in place of the AWOL cork.
You should have a mechanical sliding stop on your touch control quadrant that prevents the lever from moving up; might not reach that low. Get with the FO-4 or 8N Operator's Manual and spend some time adjusting that touch control.
