Wanted to mention there is a 9N for sale in the local paper that says "9N tractor for sale for parts. $1200 firm." If anyone is interested and would like some more information I can get the number or go take a look and answer any questions you may have, if I can. I don't know who is selling it, but it's a local number to me.

Also: my manifold has a potent leak. I can feel the exhaust between it and the block and it is quite rough in condition. What's the "best" replacement out there?

Hey Pete-
My old hunting grounds- West Branch/St. Helen area. Yes, the manifold on the N's (I assume you are refering to your N?) will seem to get hottest and blow a hole right around the exhaust #4 port. Remedy? Replace the gasket and manifold. Take it off and observe the cast iron has corroded away at that spot. Easy fix. New manifold about 50 clams. Gasket about 4 clams. Put new brass nuts on the studs. Torque to 27 ft/lbs.

Now, check the 9N serial number and email me with the info as I am searching for a '39 with an early # and is not butchered up. Thanks.

Tim
