My son and I built a pond with our John Deere 502A backhoe, 1952 Ford F-6 Truck and our 1950 8N. This father/son project provided wonderful memories for both of us. Now that my son is a newly wed (as of December 31st), I am waiting on Grandchildren! We have some fish to catch! (Son, if you see this...Hint, Hint!!) Hope you enjoy.

You are a very lucky man! You not only have some great family memories, but some wonderful pictures to go with them.

Enjoy..... ....Ed

After digging the pond with the backhoe, we shaped the sides of the pond with our 1950 8N Ford. My son pulled me up the embankment with the backhoe and a long cable. You can see the water in the bottom of the pond, which is a result of a natural spring. Later, we had to invest in a pump to remove the water so we could continue work on the pond.

We jump to one year later..."a family swim in the pond". My son and I are having "almost" as much fun swimming as we had building the pond!
