I have a Paulson loader ordered, and I want to go ahead and convert to a front pump at this time. I have been unable to find any good information as to a specific pump that will work properly. Are you running a separate system or using the gearcase hypoid fluid? Rather than "buy and try" does anyone have a pump in service that I could get model and numbers off of? How fast does it lift the loader? how much pressure is it set for? Does it have a relief valve built into it? Or doI need to add one? Thanks in advance!

You may want to look at the Wagner Iron Works loader that came original with my 53 Ford Jubilee. I have model "Ford WM-4" and it uses a front-mounted hydraulic pump that connects to the driveshaft. I noticed a manual for Wagner loaders on the manuals section here, altho its $60. It may give you some ideas/specs, etc. Good luck.

For a Paulson you'd want about 5 gpm @ 2000 rpm and I could name several pumps but it won't do you any good. There isn't enough room between the front of the tractor and a Paulson loader to mount a front pump.

It was the Paulson loader that caused me to noodle out the hydraulic cover modification that I've posted here. It allows you to operate the loader without chaining down the 3 point.

My dad's 2N uses a pump that is readily available at Mills' Fleet Farm.
