Hello,
Can anyone tell me if the N series bumpers came painted, from the factory, the standard Ford colors or were they painted black as I"ve seen in several photos.

I"m restoring a "47 model 2N and want to get the colors right.

Thanks,<

Gary

Pilot..... ..all N-Bumpers were dealer or owner installed and did NOT come installed at the factory. Since the SAME BUMPER fits all N-Tractors, and since the current replacement bumper is "red", (actually should be vermillion), I don't think it really matters what color the N-Bumper is. Since the 2N is monochromatic gray, variously described as industrial gray, institutional gray, battleship gray, smoke gray; BLACK is a very complementary color. I say its yer tractor and you can paint it enny color that pleases you..... ...Dell, the color blind 20/20 painter (looks good at 20ft or 20mph)

Sounds good, thank you Dell.

I thought that 20/20 thing meant that it looks good when you've got a 20yr. old blonde on each arm!!
Take care,
