There isn't much oil gets up on that shaft. However, any leak in that area and that fan blows the oil back up around the shaft. Lots of time all that is leaking is the gasket. It leaks on that aluminum because guys tighten the mounting bolts down too hard and warp it.
You might try a narrow bead (1/16") of rtv down the middle of one side of the gasket and putting it back on with only 10ft-lbs of torque. Be certain to get the mounting bolts back in exactly the same hole.

Mine is pretty clean right now. I painted the whole thing, so will be pretty easy to see if it the gasket..Looks like it is dripping straight down from where the shaft comes out.Not leaking a lot. Most people wouldn"t even mess with it but to me a leak is a leak. Wish it would be the gasket...Thanks, I'll check it closer.
