Just wanted to tell you, I have shared your response to JS's post (link below) with many friends over the past months, to a man, they cannot stop laughing. Thank you. It was on my mind last night as I was trying to muscle in my new boom pole into my dark (no power) 95 year old barn out of the mini van, holding a flashlight, and trying to explain the whole process to my two daughter (5 1/2 and 2 1/2) who were in the van. I tripped on the dirt floor, darn near dropped it on my toe, tried not to curse in front of the girls (the wife would have my axx). Any ways I thought of all the crappy work spaces I have fixed cars, motorcycles, etc. with good friends and realized I was smiling. Thanks again....

Thanks Randy, I needed that. in reply to Randy NAA in Michigan, 11-04-2004 07:18:04
I had forgotten that post. Actually I'm living proof that you can get things done in less than ideal conditions. And somehow I manage even though given two choices I invariably make the wrong one. Thanks again.

Probably 15 years ago, still lived with my parents, was rebuilding the 327 motor in my `64 chevelle, worked real late on it one night in my luxurious one car gravel floor carport,no walls..left things uncovered for the night, woke up the next morning with about 3" of snow down in the lifter valley of my new motor. Sure glad the working conditions have gotten better over the years (grin)

Reminds me of the time I rebuilt the bottom end of my brothers Chevy 350 while it was still in the truck parked under a car port during the rainy season. Ah, the good ol' days... Luckily, I have a garage roof over my head now.

That looks suspicously close to my environment I am working in... I have my NAA split and parts everywhere on one side of my two car garage in the city. At any given time, I have at least 2 inches of luxurious room to move parts around :-) You can see this on my previous post "Project NAA Rustbucket - finally split" below.

Hey that looks just like my outside the garage work table! I actually have 2, one is for recycling, one for trash. I often find I want to throw something out but have stuff I'm working with on top of it.
